Chloe went to see Nicole and told her that Sydney was alive. Nicole was relieved. It seemed she was carving out a place for herself in prison. Unfortunately, she still had a hatred for those she had left behind, namely Sami and EJ. Meanwhile, Daniel came across a depressed Melanie and was unsure how to comfort her. He sought Maggie's advice and she gave him some much-needed courage. Daniel then realized that Maggie was ill and urged her to see a doctor. She did, and learned her myasthenia gravis had returned.
